Intern Soil Chemistry 80-100% (w/m/d) WSL Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research The WSL Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research belongs to the ETH domain with around 600 employees. It deals with the sustainable use and protection of the environment as well as with a responsible handling of natural hazards. The Forest and Soil Ecology research unit researches the functioning of forests and soils under the influence of environmental changes. The Soil Functions and Dynamics group is looking for, as of 1 October 2026 or by arrangement, limited to 5 months, an Intern Soil Chemistry 80-100% (w/m/d) Within the DRYMET project, which researches the risks of heavy metals for drinking water resources, you will support the project leader in laboratory column experiments that simulate extreme climate events. Your tasks include the setup and execution of experiments with soil core samples, sampling, and the preparation of samples for various analyses. You will perform UV-Vis spectrophotometric analyses and the quantification of organic carbon on samples. In addition, you will support the evaluation of the data and thus contribute to the entire research process. The prerequisite for this internship is a completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental sciences or chemistry.
