The cantonal social office fulfils the task of personal social and addiction assistance on behalf of the municipalities and supports people in accessing economic social assistance. To this end, it operates eight regional social services in the regions of the canton. The regional social service Chur/Plessur/Imboden is responsible for 10 municipalities with a catchment area of 67,000 people. Social counselling, addiction assistance and financial support We are looking for a location in Chur from 1 August 2026 or by agreement a Social Worker The position is currently limited until 31 March 2028. There is likely to be an option to extend the employment. Your area of responsibility • Solution- and resource-oriented social counselling for individuals and families • Access to social insurance benefits and economic social assistance • Counselling for recognised and provisionally admitted refugees and foreigners for linguistic, professional and social integration • Cooperation with social authorities and specialised specialist offices • Further diverse, interesting and responsible activities This is what we expect from you • Completed training as a social worker BSc/FH or a degree in a comparable training • Enjoyment of working with people from different social and/or cultural backgrounds • High consulting competence as well as sound specialist knowledge in social assistance law and in the social insurance sector • Contact-friendly, resilient, team-capable, good communicative, organisational and administrative skills • Ideally good foreign language skills • Independent and solution-oriented work
