You possess in-depth knowledge of current theories and positions and transmit them in accordance with current didactic concepts. You passionately encourage discourse, analysis and writing skills and accompany students in their critical reflection on their creative and artistic practice. You act with confidence between artistic mediation and theoretical discourse and promote dialogical and collaborative forms of work. Your active network in the field of art and culture offers students many perspectives. As a lecturer • Development and implementation of teaching formats to transmit theoretical and methodological foundations in the fields of art history, art, culture and media theory. • Didactically based promotion of text comprehension and reading, critical thinking as well as analysis and reflection capacities. • Encouragement and support of students in the development of a critical, discursive and creative attitude. • Enabling students to present their work in a factual and methodologically professional manner, both written and oral. • Promotion of text comprehension and reading, critical capacity as well as discipline-based self-reflection. • Participation in the planning and implementation of curatorial and mediation formats. As a module manager • Overall responsibility for the planning, implementation and continuous development of the module for which you are responsible, in accordance with the guidelines. • Lateral management of lecturers and module contributors; in particular, ensuring communication, promoting collaboration and coordinating tasks. Recruitment of contributors in agreement with the preparatory course management. • Planning and allocation of resources and material means within the module. • Ensuring didactic quality and the current relevance of teaching. • Quality assurance and qualitative development of the module, including feedback to lecturers. • Participation in the disciplinary, organizational and personal development of the preparatory design course. • Representation of the theory thematic area in the central team as well as within the Design Film Art department. • Active participation in exchanges, planning, evaluations and development processes and contribution to strategic issues. Your profile • You hold a university degree (master's or equivalent) in art history, media and cultural sciences or a related discipline. • You have teaching experience in a university of applied sciences or a preparatory design course. A certificate in university didactics can be obtained as part of the employment. • You possess in-depth knowledge of established and current theories, discourses and positions in the fields of art, culture, media theory as well as curating. • You are familiar with current methods and didactics for transmitting theory and knowledge as well as for promoting text comprehension and reading and are experienced in their application. • You have experience in the mediation and curating of artistic, creative and film works. • You are visible and well-connected in the artistic and cultural milieu. • You are a communicative and reliable personality with strong cooperation and social skills. • You think and work interdisciplinarily and enjoy teamwork. • You possess organizational skills and are experienced in the autonomous planning and implementation of projects and teaching units. • Very good knowledge of German orally and in writing. Good knowledge of English is desired.
