PostgreSQL Database Administrator (f/m/d) # Be your best with bechtle ## On behalf of our client based in Lausanne, we are looking for a PostgreSQL DBA (f/m/d) responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and integrity of PostgreSQL databases, while supporting internal teams in information system evolution projects. Your mission #### • Install, configure, administer, and maintain PostgreSQL database environments in production. • Implement and manage backup, restoration, and access management procedures in compliance with security and compliance requirements. • Monitor performance, analyze incidents, and optimize databases as well as queries to ensure the stability and responsiveness of applications. • Manage replication, high availability, and business continuity mechanisms within the framework of PCA/PRA measures. • Support development teams and project managers on aspects of data modeling, architecture choices, and operational best practices. Your profile ## • Higher education in IT such as Federal Diploma, HES, University, EPFL or equivalent. • Proven experience in PostgreSQL administration in critical production environments, with a good level of autonomy in operations and troubleshooting. • Advanced mastery of PostgreSQL, particularly on the topics of architecture, replication, partitioning, and performance optimization. • Good knowledge of Linux environments, particularly Red Hat or Rocky Linux, as well as automation tools such as Bash, Ansible, or Python. • Knowledge of another DBMS such as Oracle or MS SQL Server is an asset. • Rigor, analytical mind, sense of service, ability to work in a team and to collaborate with various technical interlocutors.
