Department Head Official Surveying 100% (Co-management possible)

Start of position: 1. January 2027 or by arrangement Work location: Bern 50% Remote Work You are responsible for the implementation of the official survey (AV) in the Canton of Bern according to the program agreements with the Confederation, as well as the updating of the corresponding AV levels within the competence of the Canton. You bear responsibility for the strategic, technical, and operational leadership of the department <<Amtliche Vermessung>>, commit yourself to the further development of the AV, and actively maintain the exchange with the cantonal land registry office. Your tasks <br /> • Lead the department <<Amtliche Vermessung>> personally and technically (with approx. 13 employees). • Be responsible for areas such as AV procurement (incl. selection of the updating surveyors), AV quality management, AV parcel data / parcel information, AV specialist applications, etc. • Further develop the official surveying in the Canton of Bern. • Collaborate on projects of national and cantonal interest. <br /> Your profile <br /> • Geomatics engineer ETH/FH or equivalent training • Surveyor patent an advantage • Several years of experience in official surveying as well as in GIS / geoinformatics • Several years of leadership experience • Excellent German skills (C2), good French and English skills (both B1) <br /> We offer you You may rightly assume that the Canton of Bern is a fair employer in every respect with very good employment conditions.
