Development of AI/Process Automation development platform: From experiment to standard: You transform innovative PoCs into stable, scalable applications. In doing so, you ensure that our development platform remains technologically leading and offers real added value to the business. Tactical further development: You translate the corporate strategy into concrete roadmaps. In close coordination with stakeholders, you drive technical as well as organizational innovations and actively shape the future of our service landscape. Resource & capacity planning: You maintain an overview: From budget responsibility and cost control to capacity planning. You prioritize tasks skillfully to use resources optimally and lead projects to success on schedule. Ensuring stable operation: Quality is your claim. You are responsible for the availability of all AI services via clear SLAs. In the event of incidents, you act calmly and continuously optimize the operational processes for smooth, efficient operation. Your profile Experience: Several years of leadership of technical teams in the Data/AI environment. Sound knowledge of AI/ML systems, Process Automation (RPA) and cloud architecture. Experienced in stakeholder management as well as in the transformation of PoCs into scalable services. Personality: Strong leadership personality with high motivational power and structure. You are communicative, solution-oriented, and capable of handling conflict. You know how to shape teams, deliver results, and bear both strategic and operational responsibility. Education: Higher degree (Uni/FH) in (Business) Informatics. Complemented by many years of practice in Data & AI as well as relevant further training. You combine deep technical understanding with a business focus. Language: Stylish communication towards diverse customer groups. You create precise concepts and present them confidently. Very good German skills in speaking and writing are mandatory; good English skills are an advantage. Insight into our work IT BS is the internal IT service provider of the Canton of Basel-Stadt and belongs to the Finance Department. The department provides the collaboration and communication infrastructure for mobile and stationary IT workstations and the associated support. Additionally, IT BS continuously develops various offers for the public in the area of eGovernment and digitalization. Working IT is central to the efficient operation of the cantonal administration. The Cross-sectional Applications department drives digitalization in the Canton of Basel-Stadt. Our modular ecosystem includes, among others, eGovernment, business administration, the website bs.ch, UX/design system, chatbots as well as low-code, development, AI and data platforms. As a Team Leader, you develop business cases by evaluating innovative solutions that offer real added value to the cantonal administration.
