You naturally and expertly combine analog and digital media and methods, know current technological developments and develop innovative design solutions with a societal reference. You have deep knowledge of typography, layout and visual design as well as experience in the development of digital formats such as websites, animated visuals, infographics or interactive applications. The creative and critical use of AI-assisted tools and methods is an integral part of your practice. You possess conceptual thinking, strategic methodological skills and a keen interest in interdisciplinary issues. You are visible and actively connected in the design scene. As a teacher • Development and implementation of teaching formats to transmit the conceptual, technical and methodological basics of visual communication as well as graphic design (including co-teaching). • Didactically based guidance of individual work processes, from research to concept development to presentation. • Support for students in the development of a creative position and language. • Transmission of the basics of design in typography, color and layout. • Transmission of conceptual and technical skills for the design of digital applications such as websites, animated graphics and other temporal or interactive digital formats. • Introduction to AI-assisted design, visualization and image generation processes. As a module manager • Overall responsibility for the planning, implementation and continuous development of the module for which you are responsible, in terms of content, organization and personnel, in accordance with the directives. • Lateral management of the teachers and lecturers involved in the module; in particular, ensuring communication, promoting collaboration and coordinating tasks. Recruitment of lecturers in agreement with the direction of the preparatory course. • Planning and allocation of resources and material means within the module. • Ensuring the didactic quality and topicality of the teaching. • Quality assurance and qualitative development of the module, including feedback to teachers. • Participation in the professional, organizational and personnel development of the preparatory course in design. • Representation of the visual communication field within the central team as well as within the Design Film Art department. • Active participation in exchanges, planning, evaluations and development instances, as well as strategic reflection. Your profile • You hold a university degree (master or diploma) in the field of visual communication / graphic design. • You have an independent design practice with several years of professional experience at the interface of concept, design and technology. • You have teaching experience in a university of applied sciences or a preparatory course in design. A certificate in university didactics can be obtained as part of the employment. • You have deep knowledge of typography, layout and visual communication. • You are experienced in the design and realization of digital applications such as websites, animations and information design and work confidently with AI-assisted tools (Midjourney, Weavy, etc.). • You master the relevant design and design software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects), have knowledge of UX/UI design and experience with Figma. • You know the Swiss design scene, are visible there and perfectly connected. • You are a communicative and reliable personality with strong cooperation and social skills. • You think and work interdisciplinarily and enjoy teamwork. • You have organizational skills and experience in the autonomous planning and implementation of projects and teaching units. • Very good knowledge of German, oral and written.
