Business Information Scientist The Interbank and Financial Data Team of IT deals with the design, conception, and operation of applications in a modern and highly available IT infrastructure, works in projects or leads them, and supports other teams with specialist and IT topics. Market data management is carried out by the Central Market Data Office of the SNB. It coordinates the bank-wide procurement and provision of market data. The Central Market Data Office is located in a market-oriented Data Science Business unit and fulfills its services in close exchange with IT and its stakeholders. Your tasks Coordination of the procurement and provision of market data for internal stakeholders in a small market data team on the business side at the SNB; Advising specialist departments on market data relevant topics, in particular on the use of suitable market data sources and services, as well as support and coordination in contract and supplier negotiations; Management of market data contracts - including negotiation, cost control, invoice processing, supplier management, and individual user management; Responsibility as Product and Application Manager in the area of Market Data Systems for the design, consulting, project planning, deployment, and operation of the associated applications; Exchange with SNB operational specialist units, other IT areas, software suppliers, and the international market providers (Bloomberg, LSEG, SIX, ...); On-call service as emergency contact for the operation of all market data applications approximately once a month, for one week each time. Your profile Several years of professional experience in market data management at a financial institution or market data provider; Several years of experience as an IT generalist in various IT areas (operating systems UNIX & Windows Server, network, security, SW deployment, requirements engineering, project management, and testing); Good knowledge of global/local market data providers and common licensing and contract models; Negotiation skills in dealing with suppliers and a confident appearance towards internal stakeholders; Strong teamwork and communication skills as well as a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working; At least a Master or Bachelor in a relevant discipline, ideally Business Information Systems; Fluent oral and written communication in German or Swiss German as well as business fluent in English.
