• 21 July 2026 • 35 - 45% • Indefinite duration • Emmenbrücke Your tasks We are looking for a personality with a post-medial artistic practice and teaching experience in the field of artistic methods and discourses. You work with media and disciplines as with tools that adapt to the respective themes and questions. Your artistic work evolves between analog and digital spaces and formats. It addresses societal questions and generates a visible resonance in the artistic field. You are familiar with current positions, discourses, and theories of art as well as museography. Experience in the design, creation, and realization of exhibitions is desired. As a lecturer • Development and implementation of teaching formats to transmit conceptual and methodological strategies of post-medial art, within the tension between analog and digital spaces (including co-teaching). • Didactically based support of individual work processes, including artistic experiments, research, and presentations. • Support for students in the development of an artistic position and a visual language. • Promotion of the capacity for reflection and artistic thinking by linking artistic development processes with the transmission of discursive and theoretical knowledge. • Promotion of an informed and responsible use of traditional as well as contemporary technologies and media, including generative AI. • Supervision and mentoring of students in the portfolio process. As a module manager • Overall responsibility for the planning, implementation, and continuous development of the module for which you are responsible, in accordance with guidelines. • Lateral management of the lecturers and contributors of the module; in particular ensuring communication, promoting collaboration, and coordinating tasks. Recruitment of contributors in agreement with the direction of the preparatory course. • Planning and allocation of resources and material means within the module. • Ensuring the didactic quality and topicality of the teaching. • Quality assurance and qualitative development of the module, including feedback to the lecturers. • Participation in the professional, organizational, and personal development of the preparatory course in design. • Representation of the post-medial art field in the central team as well as within the Design Film Art department. • Active participation in exchanges, planning, evaluations, and development bodies, as well as strategic reflection. Your profile • You hold a university degree (master or diploma) in visual arts or a related field. • You have an established post-medial artistic practice. You work with different artistic methods and forms of expression, based on current societal and artistic questions. • You have teaching experience in a university of applied sciences or a preparatory course in design. A certificate in university didactics can be obtained as part of the employment. • You know the Swiss art scene, are visible in it, and are very well connected. • You know current positions, discourses, and theories of art as well as museography. • You master analog and digital tools, for example in the fields of painting, installation, and digital media. • You are a communicative and reliable personality with strong skills in cooperation and social relations. • You have organizational skills and experience in the autonomous planning and implementation of projects and teaching units. • You have excellent knowledge of German.
