The position is attached to the Département de la femme, de l'enfant et de l'adolescent whose mission is to offer quality care adapted to the needs of women at every stage of their lives and to the health problems faced by newborns, children, and female and male adolescents from birth to the age of 16. It works on the development of cutting-edge services and specialized competence centers. The Service de Soins intensifs de néonatologie et de soins intensifs de pédiatriques takes charge of every newborn, infant, or child whose vital functions are threatened and who requires monitoring or a therapeutic procedure pertaining to intensive medicine. The teams support patients and their relatives in these crisis situations, in order to undertake everything that is necessary and possible to improve the quality of life and survival of children whose condition requires specialized monitoring or treatment. Job Description ## As a nurse specialized in neonatal and pediatric intensive care, you provide autonomously and/or upon medical delegation, specialized and global nursing care to any newborn, child, or female and male adolescent in situations presenting different levels of complexity. You integrate parents into the care of their child and consider them as partners with adapted support. Working with premature children while supporting parents in this particular moment of life will be your daily routine. You work in the neonatal and pediatric intensive care units and actively collaborate in the supervision and teaching of new healthcare staff, students, and other healthcare professionals. Thanks to your professionalism, you contribute to the development of the quality of care and research in the health field. Qualifications ## You hold a Bachelor HES in nursing, or a nursing diploma recognized by the Swiss Red Cross. You hold the EPD-ES intensive care expert diploma, or are ready to undergo this training at the HUG (see below). Assets will be: experience in a level 2/3 Neonatology service; a certifying training in pediatrics (DAS SEAF or equivalent), experience in pediatric acute care. You have excellent interpersonal skills, you enjoy teamwork, and you integrate easily into new professional environments. Your autonomy, your rigor, and your ability to prioritize make you a precise professional in the execution of the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to you. You have excellent abilities to manage stressful environments while demonstrating reactivity. Your professional surroundings recognize your interpersonal qualities, an ability to maintain perspective, and developed communication skills. You have an affinity for the field of accompanying relatives, particularly parental support. You have the project of developing skills in the pediatric field. This competency assessment is an online training that will require an investment of several hours (count approximately 10 hours of training) and which invites you to immerse yourself in the reality of specialized services by offering self-assessments and didactic materials allowing you to develop your skills. Once you have completed the MOOC in its entirety, your final diagnosis will be included in your application file and will serve as a basis for discussion during the selection interviews.
