He/she participates in welcoming the public, managing collections, promoting public reading as well as the library's cultural and educational activities. He/she also ensures, under the coordination of the head librarian, the reception of school classes and participates in developing links between the library, children, teaching staff, and families. librarian at 40% special working conditions: \- Diploma in information documentary (Bachelor HES, CFC AID or title deemed equivalent) \- Confirmed professional experience in a library, ideally municipal and/or school-based ; \- Excellent general literary culture and a marked interest in youth and adult literature ; \- Excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written ; \- Mastery of common IT and office tools as well as library management software and digital communication tools ; \- Developed sense of welcoming, public service, and cultural mediation, with real ease among various audiences, especially children ; \- Ability to propose and lead activities around books and reading ; \- Ease in welcoming and managing groups, notably classes and groups of children ; \- Autonomy, sense of organization, creativity, spirit of initiative, and ability to work in a team. Missions: \- Welcome, inform, and advise users and ensure routine activities of lending, returning, reservation, and registration ; \- Participate in the smooth running of the library and assist the head librarian in her activities ; \- Contribute to the management and enhancement of collections: acquisitions, cataloging, equipping, classification, novelties, and thematic selections ; \- Welcome and lead class visits, in collaboration with the school and teachers, and propose activities adapted to different ages ; \- Participate in cultural mediation and develop animations around books and reading for children, families, and adults ; \- Collaborate in the organization of exhibitions, meetings, and events, notably within the framework of municipal events ; \- Contribute to making the library a welcoming, lively place, accessible to all audiences.
