Research Associate Production Metrology

At the Institut für Mikrotechnik und Photonik (IMP), we realize innovative research and development projects together with industrial partners. Our production metrology laboratory possesses a unique plant inventory and offers certified tests and services. At the same time, we are committed to the training of engineers for the photonics and micro-industry. To strengthen our team in production metrology, we are looking for an engaged personality as a Research Associate Production Metrology, starting immediately or by arrangement ### Your field of activity • Independent execution of scientific, technical, and didactic activities in the field of production metrology, e.g., collaboration on expert opinions and reports, creation of scientific publications, support of teaching assignments in education including examination supervision, leading supervision of complex technical infrastructures • Acquisition, processing, and/or management of projects in application-oriented research • Acquisition and execution of services and seminars • Supervision of students during project and thesis work • Participation in the strategic further development of the competence center Your expertise • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, design, metrology, or a comparable field of study • Proven professional experience in a relevant technical environment • Sound knowledge in coordinate and/or roughness metrology, computer tomography, as well as geometric product specification • Independent, structured, and quality-conscious way of working • Enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation and teamwork Your benefits with us Questions regarding the application process Sylvia Iten HR Business Partnerin sylvia.iten@ost.ch About the OST Die OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule is an intercantonal and interstate university of applied sciences with locations in Buchs, Rapperswil-Jona, and St.Gallen.
