Trainee - Territory Observatory (6 months)

Participate in the creation of the future Territory Observatory of the City of Neuchâtel! We are looking for a: Trainee - Territory Observatory (6 months) The City of Neuchâtel is setting up an observatory intended to better understand the developments of the territory and to support public decisions thanks to data, statistics, and cartography. To support this strategic project, the Urban Planning, Mobility, and Public Spaces Service (SUMEP) is looking for a freshly graduated and motivated trainee to contribute to the implementation of this living tool. Your main activities: Participate in reflections concerning the implementation of the observatory, based on theoretical knowledge recently acquired during your studies Collect, structure, and analyze territorial data Produce indicators, maps, and dashboards and carry out analyses Participate in the creation of the observatory's first tools and publications Collaborate with communal services and cantonal partners Your profile: Recent education (Bachelor/Master) in territorial engineering, geography, urban planning, territorial development, or equivalent field, with solid skills in geographic information systems (SIG) Marked interest in data analysis and territorial issues Initiative spirit, autonomy, and analytical capacity What we offer: A concrete and rewarding experience within an innovative public administration The possibility of contributing to a pioneering project for the City of Neuchâtel A stimulating work environment, at the interface between data, territory, and public policies.
