Electricity Technician

Mission The EPFL Valais Wallis Campus, in Sion, currently has 17 active laboratories in key areas of energy, environment, and health. The campus is expanding rapidly. To ensure the smooth operation of the site's buildings and, by extension, the success of our scientific research, we are looking for someone capable of operating and monitoring our technical facilities. This involves a range of tasks from daily maintenance of facilities to coordinating numerous external contractors, while ensuring rigorous administrative management. While the primary mission focuses on the proper functioning of electrical installations, versatility in tasks is expected. The technician will be required to collaborate proactively within the operations team. Main tasks and responsibilities Carry out preventive and curative maintenance operations related to electrical installations in buildings; Ensure legal compliance of electrical work according to OIBT standards; Establish OIBT measurement reports following electrical installation work; Ensure troubleshooting of electrical installations; Carry out small electrical installations; Enter necessary information into the GMAO; Carry out work related to electrical installations of machines, peripheral equipment; Monitor external companies for electrical work, including administrative monitoring of interventions; Monitor various technical projects. Profile CFC as an electrician or equivalent recognized by ESTI; Holder of article 13 OIBT; Knowledge of NIBT 2020 or 2025; Minimum 5 years of experience; Increased knowledge of the general operation of a building; Solution-oriented and good ability to work in a team in a demanding environment; Good computer skills, in particular mastery of basic office tools; Ability to propose and prioritize; Resistance to stress and ability to manage multiple requests in parallel; Knowledge of CVCS technical installations, an asset; Good oral and written communication in French, English an asset; Mastery of regulation/automation tools, an asset; Knowledge of a GMAO, an asset; Experience in a scientific/academic/laboratory environment, an asset.
