School Patrol Team Leader (at 75%) The city of Meyrin – whose staff amounts to 950 members – is distinguished by its dynamism, its multiculturalism and the richness of its associative and economic fabric. The public domain and parking aim to ensure good cohabitation between all users of the public space. The team is composed of public domain agents who accompany occupations and 25 school patrol officers who ensure safety near schools. In order to strengthen the unity of the school patrols, the city of Meyrin is looking for a: School Patrol Team Leader (at 75%) Your missions: you ensure through your preventive posture the safety of children on the way to school, who cross at pedestrian crossings, at the entrance and exit of classes; you are a local manager of a team of 25 school patrol officers and lead the team by embodying management based on responsibility, exemplary behavior and trust; Your main activities: plan, organize, direct and coordinate the daily activity of the patrol officers; manage personnel evolution (recruitment, interviews, conflict management, etc.) and ensure their well-being; represent the school patrol unit and be the contact person for the parents of schoolchildren and any other concerned public; ensure the replacement of absent school patrol officers if necessary; contribute to the regular analysis of the school route security activity; collaborate closely with public domain agents and the municipal police. Schedule and leave: part-time work at 75% (equivalent to 30 hours per week) distributed from Monday to Friday except during school holiday periods. Mandatory presence from 6:30 am as well as during the four duty time slots (07:30-08:30, 11:00-11:30, 13:10-14:05, 16:00-16:30); leave must be taken exclusively during school holidays. Your profile: a first significant experience of at least one year in team management; due to the split schedules, residence in Meyrin or in neighboring municipalities is desired; French native language or bilingual; very good oral and written skills; appetite for field work outdoors and ability to work in all weather conditions; team spirit, punctuality, sense of responsibility, positive attitude; interpersonal skills, ability to gain support and manage conflicts; mastery of MS-Office tools; CFC or title deemed equivalent. The holder must follow the school patrol officer training provided by the education and prevention brigade of the Cantonal Police; due to the contact with children required by this position, extracts from the criminal record, a certificate from the debt collection office and a certificate of good conduct and morals will be required.
