From September 2026, we are looking for an Editor and Project Management Educational Media | m/f/d (80-100%) For our Secondary Level II editorial department, we are looking for a committed personality who brings editorial flair, conceptual thinking, high digital affinity, and enjoyment of educational issues. You will accompany educational media from the first idea to publication and take responsibility for projects with impact. Your tasks • You take responsibility for educational media in Secondary Level II: for print products and digital products incl. AI solutions, from concept development to publication. • You plan, coordinate, and manage projects: schedules, budgets, processes, quality assurance. • You work closely with author and consultant teams, whom you accompany and lead – and with external service providers from typesetting, graphics, and illustration. • You read, edit, and proofread texts. • You assess layouts, visual worlds, audiovisual content as well as digital implementations and contribute your own design ideas. • You observe developments in the market for educational media – with a particular interest in digital learning forms and the life world of young adults. • You work closely with colleagues from editorial, production, marketing, and sales. Your profile We are not looking for a specific profile, but rather a personality with an interest in education and enjoyment in designing high-quality educational media. • Experience from editorial, publishing, or education – ideally supplemented by project management experience. • Enjoyment of good language and a flair for it; you can assess, adapt, and improve texts as well as combine them with suitable visual materials if necessary. • Ability to oversee projects and drive them forward in a structured manner – even when it becomes complex. • Genuine interest in education, in teaching and learning processes, and in the life world of adolescents and young adults. • Willingness to dive deep into topics and stay with them until something is truly good – combined with the pragmatic will to complete things. • Openness towards digital learning media and interest in the pedagogical opportunities and challenges of digitalization in the classroom. Teaching experience is a plus, but not a must. We value an academic overview as well as a sense for relevant editorial topics or the education-oriented perspective. It is important that you can combine both: think conceptually and implement practically.
