This department provides care to patients of all ages, children and adults, suffering from neurosurgical, neurological, ophthalmological and oto-rhino-laryngological pathologies. Care is adapted to the needs and difficulties of the patient, from the most acute sectors (intermediate care units) to the rehabilitation sectors (neurorehabilitation). The objective of the department is to lead the patient population toward recovery of their autonomy through teaching, support and outpatient follow-up. It ensures the operation of patients as well as their support, in order to favor an early return home. In the same spirit, outpatient care is also prioritized and surgical activity optimized, to facilitate accessibility to care within a reasonable timeframe. The neurology and neurosurgery intermediate care unit ensures the global, diagnostic and therapeutic management of patients of all ages. Job Description ## You will join an intermediate care unit of 14 beds. This unit welcomes patients from the specialties of vascular neurology, neurosurgery and general neurology. You provide, autonomously and upon medical delegation, personalized nursing care with close monitoring to a patient population of all ages. You operate in a context of acute care that requires the use of medical devices and medico-technical equipment. You know how to analyze complex clinical situations and have an aptitude for managing unforeseen events thanks to various monitorings. You are a person committed to the quality of care and you orient your care towards guaranteeing safe care. You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and consider the patient as well as their relatives as partners in the care process. You participate in the supervision and clinical teaching of new nursing staff and other health professionals. You ensure the precise and rigorous transmission of information in interprofessionality. Your learning abilities allow you to progress continuously in your practice. Qualifications ## You hold a Bachelor HES in nursing or an equivalent recognized title by the Croix-Rouge Suisse. Having specialized training is an asset. Specialization in continuous care is required or must be acquired during employment. You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care. You have an excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written. Thanks to your reactivity, your good stress management and a keen sense of priorities, you are able to cope with a high flow of patients. You are of a rigorous nature and possess excellent mastery of technical gestures and clinical assessment with developed clinical judgment. Your ability to work collaboratively allows you to evolve in a multidisciplinary team. You uphold the relational values of teamwork.
