Ensure accompaniment and educational support within a multidisciplinary team, working with adolescents aged 12 to 18 living in a residential home Prepare young people for autonomy by accompanying them in daily learning, the progressive taking of responsibilities, and their integration Be open to the pedagogy of the bond of development and establish an educational relationship based on trust, emotional regulation, and the enhancement of each young person's potential Collaborate closely with placement services and families Actively participate in team colloquiums, network meetings, and supervisions. Start date: 1st September 2026 Activity rate: 80% Contract type: CDI Class: 13 or 15 according to the salary scale of the State of Geneva Application deadline: 14 August 2026 Bachelor in social work (HETS) or Diploma in social education (ES) or University Bachelor (neighboring field of social work) with one year of full-time professional practice in a boarding school or IGE Foreign diplomas: requirement of official recognition by the SEFRI (or by a recognized equivalent body) Minimum 5 years of confirmed experience in a similar position with adolescents having special educational needs Marked interest and motivation to work in the accompaniment of young people presenting severe psychic disorders Excellent mastery of crisis management and ability to intervene in an adapted manner in complex situations Ease in multidisciplinary work, while maintaining the specificities and role proper to the function Very good knowledge of the Swiss and Genevan socio-educational, pedagogical, and therapeutic network Flexibility and capacity for rapid adaptation Autonomy, sense of responsibility and spirit of initiative, combined with a solid team spirit Perfect mastery of French, both oral and written. Possess a driver's license (cat. B) Be of Swiss nationality or holder of a valid work permit. To carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for a qualified educator for the Foyer de l'Aubépine which welcomes, day and night, four young people aged 12 to 18 presenting a significant psychiatric problem, and ensures care follow-up through adapted therapeutic and educational services.
