Doctor Medical Service Penitentiary and Reintegration Medical Service Doctor Medical Service 50% Penitentiary and Reintegration (JuWe) is responsible, as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich, for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1'400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of convicted persons as well as the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance. The newly created main department Medical Service ensures the medical-somatic basic care for the incarcerated persons in all penitentiary institutions of the Canton of Zurich. As a central organizational unit, it guarantees harmonized and high-quality healthcare according to the equivalence principle and works closely with the Psychiatric-Psychological Service and the JuWe institutions. The main department operates as an outpatient medical institution and a Spitex institution with the corresponding health police permit and ensures the billing of medical and nursing services according to the compulsory health insurance. For the medical care at the location of the JVA Pöschwies in Regensdorf, we are looking for a committed medical professional who ensures the site-specific care. This is Your field of activity You bear the responsibility for the implementation of the medical specifications at the Regensdorf location and guarantee the medical care of the incarcerated persons according to the equivalence principle In your regular medical consultations, you diagnose and treat the inmates and provide initial medical care in urgent situations You participate in case discussions and work closely with the medical site management as well as representatives of other professional groups, where the distribution of tasks and interfaces are clearly defined You ensure the quality of medical care, promote compliance with medical standards and implement preventive measures to maintain the health of the incarcerated persons You create medical reports, record the services and document the treatments according to legal specifications This is what You bring with you You have completed your medical studies and ideally completed specialist training in General Internal Medicine. Additional experience in psychiatry, addiction medicine or emergency medicine is an advantage You bring at least three years of professional experience at a recognized training center in Switzerland You possess a verifiable license to practice as a doctor in the Canton of Zurich as well as an impeccable reputation.
