Job description _____ Data Scientist/ML Engineer in the Economic Data Science team (80% - 100%) Zurich / Permanent employment / hybrid The Economic Data Science organizational unit performs economic analyses and forecasts to prepare monetary policy decisions. It also contributes to methodological innovations and the development of data pipelines. We offer a position in an interdisciplinary team composed of economists and Data Scientists/ML Engineers.   Your mission ##   • Development, provision and maintenance of pipelines for data analysis tools, particularly in the field of machine learning (ML), natural language processing (NLP) and big data • Supporting the team during the introduction and development of new IT tools • Contribution to the realization of forecasts and analyses to prepare monetary policy • Participation in specialized committees in IT and data science Your profile ##   • Master's or doctorate in computer science, statistics, mathematics or a related field with a quantitative orientation • Interest in forecasting, time series analysis and monetary policy issues • Experience in the development and provision of ML *pipelines*; ideally, specialized knowledge in data engineering • Solid knowledge in programming with Python • Experience with DevOps tools and practices (Git, CI/CD platforms) and, ideally, with the Linux command line and distributed systems (Spark) • Ability to negotiate in French or German as well as in English Our offer ### We offer you a varied activity serving the general interest of Switzerland and notably supporting the economy, the population and the stability of the financial system.
