The serv Social Worker The social service (SOC) of the Ville de Genève contributes to the improvement of the framework and living conditions of the inhabitants of our city, by creating links and allowing them to participate fully in social life. Prioritizing local action, the SOC offers services and develops projects aimed at promoting solidarity, integration, and the inclusion of people in vulnerable situations, in collaboration with institutional and associative partners. To complete its team, Cité seniors, a place of life, information, and exchange dedicated to seniors, is looking for a Social Worker at an activity rate of 70 % Duration of engagement: 6 months - CDD Start date: ideally September 21, 2026 Social Worker Your mission \- Welcome, inform, and orient the senior public regarding the benefits, services, and activities offered by Cité seniors; \- Listen to the needs of the senior public, advise them, and orient them toward the institutions, organizations, associations, or social networks most adapted to their situation; \- Contribute to the design, organization, and animation of the Cité seniors activity program; \- Participate in the implementation of specific services, notably the Heatwave Plan as well as the organization of events intended for seniors; \- Develop projects and collaborate closely with partners of the social and medico-social network in favor of the senior public; \- Participate in the decentralization and deployment of Cité seniors activities within the neighborhoods; \- Take part in the recruitment, support, and supervision of volunteers, ensuring a welcoming environment conducive to the smooth running of activities. Your profile \- Hold a Bachelor of Arts HES-SO in social work or have training deemed equivalent; \- Demonstrate professional experience in supporting elderly people; \- Possess a good knowledge of the Geneva social network, social benefits, as well as the network of institutions and associations working in favor of seniors; \- Have knowledge in project management and be able to design, organize, and animate socio-cultural activities intended for seniors; \- Possess very good interpersonal, communication, and writing skills; \- Distinguish oneself by a sense of commitment, the ability to work both in a team and independently, and mastery of common IT tools; \- Demonstrate flexibility and be willing to work occasionally during hours including evening and weekend services.
