As part of the development of a new department in the Networks division, we are looking for a Head of Network Development Department 80-100% Your mission In this function, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the strategic development of the Valais high-voltage network (HS). You will take over the strategic asset management of this network, the responsibility for coordinating network connections in the high-voltage sector, as well as contractual aspects Embedded in the Networks division, you will ensure the management and further development of the department. You will consistently align the department with strategic network development and the project portfolio. You will plan and develop the necessary resources, promote the development of employees' competencies - particularly in the area of asset management -, actively participate in the Networks management and directly support the head of the department. You will ensure close coordination with various stakeholders such as Swissgrid, Valgrid, distribution network operators, producers, industrial partners, customers and authorities. You will manage the further development of the high-voltage network with a focus on supply security and the integration of the necessary strategic capacities in the long term. Your additional tasks include leading studies related to network development, monitoring connection requests and managing connection and network usage contracts. Furthermore, you will be responsible for managing contracts related to simple companies for key assets. Your profile Engineering degree from ETH/FH in electrical engineering or an equivalent recognized education, ideally with an EMBA At least 5-7 years of experience in the development and strategic asset management of power grids Proven leadership experience Experience in the field of high-voltage networks is an advantage Experience in leading multidisciplinary high-voltage projects Very good communication and negotiation skills Outstanding leadership competence and sense of responsibility Organizational and planning strength (initiative, proactivity, forward thinking) Stress resistance, reliability and flexibility Native language French or German with very good knowledge of the other language (level C1) and very good English skills (level C1) Why work with us?
