With your expertise, you strengthen the research infrastructure of the Luzern universities and make a valuable contribution to their further development. Your tasks • Together with the Open Science team, you ensure the reliable technical operation of the LORY repository and actively drive its conceptual further development and integration into the research information systems (CRIS) of the three Luzern universities. • In the context of further digitization projects of the library, you contribute your technical know-how and support, for example, the operation and expansion of sustainable solutions for digital long-term archiving. • By developing and maintaining technical interfaces, you ensure smooth data flows and thus strengthen the research infrastructure of the universities. • With careful documentation, structured tests, and an eye for improvements, you make a significant contribution to the quality and future viability of the systems used. • In this interface function, you work closely with the three Luzern universities UniLU, HSLU, and PHLU, as well as external service providers responsible for development. Your profile • A completed degree in information science, computer science, or a comparable qualification provides the basis for your technical expertise. • In-depth knowledge of REST-APIs, OAI-PMH, Python, and JavaScript, as well as experience in software maintenance, enable you to master complex technical tasks with confidence. • Based on your basic knowledge of MARCXML, DataCite, and Dublin Core, you move safely in the environment of bibliographic and scientific metadata standards. • Ideally, basic knowledge of Linux server architectures, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and relational databases helps you to understand technical systems in a holistic way. • An interest in open science developments, pleasure in communication, high independence, commitment, flexibility, and team spirit, as well as very good English skills, round out your profile.
