Employee Care and Security Service 80 - 100% # Justizvollzug und Wiedereingliederung (JuWe) is, as part of the Department of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zürich, responsible for the execution of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1'400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of convicted persons, the prevention of recidivism, and the detention and preparation of the departure of persons without a valid residence permit are of particular importance. Das Vollzugszentrum Bachtel (VZB) belongs to the detention facilities of the Canton of Zürich (VEZ) - one of seven main departments of JuWe - and is an institution specialized in the open execution of prison and substitute prison sentences. The VZB provides space for over 90 incarcerated persons. To reinforce the Care and Security Service, we are looking for a flexible personality per sofort or by arrangement. Your tasks ### • Accompanying and caring for incarcerated persons to prevent detention-related harm • Maintaining order and security for the incarcerated persons, employees, and third parties • Maintaining the health of the incarcerated persons as well as accompanying them to external locations • Operating the security center and monitoring the locking systems (inside and outside) as well as operating the telephone switchboard with overview and reliability • Receiving visitors as well as conducting gift, effects, and X-ray controls, as well as providing trustworthy care for inmates and visitors, including the recognition and management of crisis situations • Careful completion of administrative tasks to support smooth operations • Interdisciplinary, cross-departmental cooperation with employees for the detention center and third parties performing tasks Your profile ### • Completed training with an eidg. Fähigkeitszeugnis, (Fach-)Maturität, Fachmittelschulausweis or equivalent qualification; ideally supplemented by several years of experience in a care-related function • Professional handling of proximity and distance in contact with inmates; high social competence as well as strong assertiveness • You are in good physical condition, psychologically resilient, and changing working hours (shift, night, weekend, and holiday services) are compatible with your other obligations • You can express yourself very well in German, both written and oral, and have knowledge of other languages.
