Head of Finance

To ensure a seamless succession arrangement, we are looking for an engaged personality for our municipality in Weinland with 1'132 inhabitants as of 1. September 2026 or by arrangement as Head of Finance (60 - 70%) Your area of responsibility includes: • Technical management of the finance department • Responsibility for finance and accounting in accordance with legal requirements • Preparation of budgets, annual accounts, and financial reports • Collaboration in the planning and implementation of investment and maintenance projects • Advising the municipal council and administrative staff on financial technical matters • Ensuring effective financial controlling as well as liquidity management • Management of the general, fixed asset, accounts payable, and accounts receivable accounting • Fee settlements for water, wastewater, and waste as well as other fees • Dunning and debt collection proceedings • Payroll and insurance administration • Management of the rental administration of municipal properties including collection • Cooperation with the external auditing body as well as the cantonal supervisory authorities • Further tasks may be assigned depending on interest and suitability Our expectations: • Commercial training with further education in finance and accounting • Several years of professional experience in finance, preferably in a municipality • Sound knowledge of public accounting (HRM2) • Analytical and networked way of thinking • Independent, structured, responsible, and exact way of working • Social competence and ability to work in a team • Willingness to learn We offer you: • A responsible key position in a small, motivated team • At least 25 days of vacation • Free outdoor parking space • A workplace with progressive working conditions (salary class 17) • Further training and development opportunities • Interesting and diverse activity For this interesting activity, we are looking for a motivated person.
