Consultant Open Source Databases 80-100% (m/w/d)

To strengthen the consulting team, we are looking for a technically skilled person as Consultant Open Source Databases 80-100% (m/w/d) # YOUR RESPONSIBILITY: You will accompany customer projects in the area of open-source databases and infrastructure from conception to stable operation. You will set up PostgreSQL and MariaDB environments, optimize their performance, and ensure high availability (e.g., Patroni, pgpool-II, HAProxy, PgBouncer). You will work with Linux and container environments (Docker/Kubernetes), troubleshoot operational issues, and support backup and recovery scenarios. Additionally, you will take on assignments in the service desk (approx. 1 day/week), conduct technical workshops with customers, and bring your knowledge into internal projects and further training. YOUR PROFILE: You have a completed education in computer science (FH, ETH or similar) and at least 3 years of experience with open-source databases and infrastructure. You have in-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL or MariaDB, ideally also in cluster technologies (e.g., Patroni, Galera, Cluster Control). You are proficient in Linux, and initial experience with Docker or Kubernetes is an advantage. You communicate in German and/or French (at least C1) as well as good English (at least B1). Customer orientation, analytical thinking, and a pragmatic approach characterize you, as well as your willingness to continue your education and certification.
