Project & Engineering Manager - Large-scale projects (CapEx) Shape the industry of tomorrow with us. For our Siggenthal Station-Würenlingen location, we are looking for a communicative, committed, and solution-oriented personality to help shape and drive large investment projects (CapEx). In this key role, you will report to the Manufacturing Performance Head of Engineering CEW and develop demanding projects for the Central Europe West region – from the feasibility study to the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase. As Project & Engineering Manager, you are responsible for the overall technical coordination of interdisciplinary engineering projects and ensure that innovative solutions are successfully implemented. Project & Engineering Manager - Large-scale projects (CapEx) German-speaking Switzerland What to expect You ensure that health, safety, and environmental standards (HSE) are consistently adhered to and implemented in all project phases You develop and lead large investment projects according to Holcim standards and ensure that deadlines, budgets, and defined milestones are met You coordinate interdisciplinary engineering teams as well as external partners and are responsible for the technical development of project concepts, project documentation, and technical evaluations You control project budgets from the feasibility phase to implementation and ensure economically and technically convincing solutions You accompany the construction and commissioning phase with your technical know-how and support successful implementation You conduct design, safety, operational, and value reviews with internal and external stakeholders and organize formal risk analyses together with project management You ensure a smooth transition into operational operation, coordinate technical knowledge exchange with engineering, purchasing, and suppliers, and support the project closure including Lessons Learned (AAR) What you bring Completed studies (Bachelor or higher) in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or a comparable technical education with corresponding professional experience Several years of experience in the technical coordination of engineering projects in the cement, building materials, or heavy industry. Experience in the oil & gas environment is a plus You work independently, goal-oriented, and successfully bring different specialist areas together You convince with open, clear communication and know how to professionally coordinate various stakeholder groups You move confidently in an international environment and enjoy working with people of different cultures and backgrounds Willingness to travel of around 30–40 % within Europe, especially in Switzerland, Italy, Southern Germany, and France Very good English skills as well as good to very good German skills.
