Specialist Open Youth Work

The VJF carries out mandates for Open Youth Work in over 50 municipalities and offers integration services and socio-cultural projects. The employees of the VJF implement diverse projects and offers with the target groups in the municipalities. The focus of the activities is on promoting action and social competence. Voluntariness, participation, and resource orientation are the guiding principles of action. On behalf of the municipality of Wohlen, the VJF has been implementing the Open Youth Work Wohlen since 1990. Open Youth Work Wohlen is mainly aimed at adolescents from the 6th to the 9th grade. Depending on the project, the target group also includes children from the 1st to the 5th grade, as well as young adults. Open Youth Work Wohlen operates a youth center with regular opening hours, is on the move in the municipality with the youth mobile, and implements numerous projects and events for young people in the municipality. It works together with local partners, institutions, and authorities. For the implementation and the content design of the Open Youth Work Wohlen, we are looking for a Specialist Open Youth Work (40-50%) ## Start of work is in October or by arrangement. You will work in a five-person team consisting of specialists, one internship position, and one civil service position. You have a tertiary education in Social Work or a related field or are on your way to achieving it. We are looking for a personality who enjoys working with children and adolescents in their free time and brings experience in this. You work in a motivated and independent manner, possess organizational talent, and creative potential. You think and act flexibly and in a networked way. You like to develop new things and roll up your sleeves when implementing. You are communicative, enjoy working in a team, and possess high self- and social competence. A driving license (Cat. B) is particularly advantageous for the mobile offers. You work regularly from Wednesday to Friday and are prepared for assignments on weekends and evenings. Possibilities for partially flexible working hour design and home office are provided.
