Bern, Switzerland \| 100-100% (job sharing possible) This is the contribution you can make <br /> • Actively shape the technical architecture as well as the further development of the DevOps and platform services for the new Data & Analytics platform and ensure its stability, scalability, and security. • Design, standardize, and continuously develop the DevOps toolchain as well as Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and GitOps solutions. • Automate platform components and operating processes, optimize performance and operational reliability, and establish modern observability and security practices. • Analyze complex technical issues, develop sustainable solutions, and drive the introduction of new technologies and best practices for the platform. • Provide technical leadership to DevOps Engineers, advise other engineers, and ensure the continuous development of the Data & Analytics platform together with infrastructure, architecture, and security teams. <br /> This makes you unique <br /> • Completed studies (HF/FH/University) in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field as well as several years of professional/leadership experience as a DevOps Engineer or Platform Engineer in an enterprise environment; certifications in Kubernetes, OpenShift, cloud technologies, ITIL, or HERMES are an advantage. • Sound experience in the construction and operation of container-based platforms as well as in-depth knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitOps, and modern DevOps tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm, GitLab CI, ArgoCD). • Experience in the design of scalable platform architectures as well as a strong understanding of automation, observability, security, networking, and the operation of business-critical platforms. • High degree of personal responsibility, strong analytical and conceptual skills, and enjoyment in helping to shape technical standards, solving complex issues, and providing technical advice to interdisciplinary teams. • Good active knowledge of two official languages as well as good English skills in speaking and writing. <br /> In a nutshell The Directorate for Labour of SECO is part of the Federal Competence Center for all core issues of labor market policy and unemployment insurance. As part of the IT division, the Application Services Datawarehouse group contributes to creating/producing the official Swiss labor market statistics monthly, provides tools for the efficient and impact-oriented management and control of decentralized enforcement as well as management support tools for the compensation office and the enforcement offices, and is responsible for over a dozen extensive Data and Analytics applications.
