PhD student (50%-70%) and Postdoctoral researcher (60%-80%)

For the project funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) -Promoting Hydration in People Living with Dementia: Development and Feasibility Testing of a Complex Intervention- we are looking, starting from 01.01.2027 or by arrangement, for committed researchers who understand research as a team task and have an interest in an integrative approach that combines different scientific currents. We are addressing researching individuals for whom both collaboration as well as independence and self-responsibility are natural. The project is managed by the Evidence-based Healthcare (EBHC) Competence Center of the Institute of Health Sciences at the Department of Health. This three-year international, interdisciplinary and method-plural research project offers the opportunity to pursue both a doctorate and a postdoc. ### Your field of activity • Planning and conducting research in the field of systematic reviews and methods of plural empirical field research (quantitative and qualitative, in particular ethnographic research) • Co-development of complex interventions and conducting feasibility tests • Collaboration in an international and interprofessional research team • Publication and dissemination of research results in scientific journals and at conferences Your expertise • For the doctorate: A Master's degree (or comparable) in the field of nursing and/or health sciences, sociology or psychology or a field related to health • For the postdoc: Doctorate in the field of nursing and/or health sciences, sociology or psychology or a related field • For the doctorate and postdoc, the following would be desirable: Professional practical and/or scientific experience in the context of Dementia or Elderly Care as well as very good English and German skills Your benefits with us Questions about the application process Sylvia Iten HR Business Partner sylvia.iten@ost.ch About OST OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule is an intercantonal and interstate university of applied sciences with locations in Buchs, Rapperswil-Jona and St.Gallen.
