Internship/Civil Service in Contact and Counseling Center

The association Überlebenshilfe Graubünden (UHG) operates several low-threshold offers in Chur for people with addictive diseases, mental and social difficulties, for people in precarious living situations as well as in difficult life situations. The new Contact and Counseling Center (K+A) with a street kitchen and consumption room offers various harm reduction services to people with addictions during the opening hours from 11.00 to 19.00. Thanks to safe and hygienic conditions, the consumption room enables the reduction of consumption risks. The Contact and Counseling Center offers meals, facilities for staying and resting, showers, washing, counseling, etc. with the aim of stabilizing or improving the situation. To expand the team, we are looking for per 1. August 2026 or by arrangement at a workload of 80% to 100% for 4 to 12 months: Interns * and Civil Service workers ## Your tasks: ### • Care and accompaniment of clients * in the K+A and in the consumption room • Ensuring a hygienic, safe and respectful environment • Support with the use of the infrastructure (washing, showers, rest room etc.) • Implementation of the house rules • Provision of information, counseling and referrals to further offers in the areas of health, housing, work etc. • organizational and administrative work • Cooperation in the interdisciplinary team as well as with external specialist centers • Documentation and participation in team meetings and supervision You bring with you: ### • Interest in people and social topics • Resilience and good handling of closeness/distance • open and positive basic attitude • good German language skills, foreign language skills are an advantage • independent and reliable way of working • ability to work in a team and humor • solid IT skills • readiness for weekend shifts according to the duty roster We offer: ### • versatile and varied field of work and an exciting insight into the professional field of addiction • employment conditions that are oriented towards the cantonal guidelines • opportunity for co-design and independent working • training and further education opportunities
