Bern, 80 - 100 % *The Direktion Technologie und Innovation (DTI) of the Insel Gruppe is responsible for the planning, further development, and operation of the ICT and medical technology landscape of one of the leading hospital companies in Switzerland. The Server and Storage team ensures central platform and basic services for the operation of the critical ICT infrastructure - from server and virtualization platforms to storage and backup to central platforms for clinical operations.* What awaits you ## • Technical and personnel leadership of the Server and Storage team in the highly critical hospital environment • Motivating and developing employees and promoting an open feedback culture • Efficient planning and use of budget and resources • Overall responsibility for the operation, stability, and further development of central server, virtualization, storage, and platform services, lifecycle management • Technical leadership in solution design and in the further development of future-proof infrastructure platforms • Responsibility for business-critical platforms and services in the environment of Epic, Citrix, as well as other central infrastructure services • Leadership and further development of the team with a focus on stability, quality, and sustainable knowledge building • Control of external providers and partners in the responsible service area • Participation in strategic infrastructure, datacenter, storage, and transformation projects in the tension between operation, digitalization, and innovation • Participation in the 7x24h on-call service (Lead Incident Management) to ensure the stable operation of the critical ICT infrastructure What you bring with you ## • Several years of leadership experience (5 years) and motivation to take on responsibility for people, team, and further development • Sound technical knowledge in the construction and operation of data centers as well as experience in the operation of highly available and business-critical ICT platforms • Experience in the engineering and operation of complex server, virtualization, database, and storage environments • Calm, pragmatic, and solution-oriented way of working - even in demanding operational and disruption situations • Strong personality with nonetheless sufficient sensitive flair for conflict management • Change and transformation experience as well as coaching and talent development skills • Experience in managing projects and contracts with external providers and partners, ideally in the context of public-law structures • Very good German skills as well as good English skills in spoken and written form Our offer ## • A technically demanding leadership role with meaning and impact in a highly critical ICT environment • The opportunity to actively help shape and further develop central infrastructure platforms • An experienced and committed team with an important mission • A versatile infrastructure and system landscape with high criticality and exciting challenges • Interesting projects and endeavors in the tension between operation, further development, and digitalization • High degree of creative freedom as well as much personal responsibility in a professional environment • Flexible working hours as well as the possibility to perform up to 40% of the activity in the home office • Attractive employment conditions and a centrally located workplace in Bern Applications from recruitment agencies will not be considered.
