As a senior project manager, you will lead complex and multidisciplinary R&D projects covering hearing aids, software applications, and associated accessories. Working at the intersection of engineering, embedded software, and product innovation, you will drive projects from concept to successful product delivery, ensuring alignment on scope, quality, timelines, and budget while contributing to the market launch of the next generation of hearing solutions. More about the role • Lead multidisciplinary R&D project teams, ensuring the successful development and delivery of innovative hearing aids, software applications, and accessories. • Be responsible for project scope, timelines, budget, resources, and risks, ensuring successful delivery through effective planning, governance, and step-by-step execution. • Establish strong partnerships between engineering, software development, and other business functions, managing stakeholders, inter-project dependencies, and key project decisions. • Prepare and present project updates to steering committees, ensuring transparency, effective governance, and informed decision-making. • Develop and maintain project plans and documentation in accordance with Sonova's project management standards and portfolio management processes. • Conduct technological assessments, reliability planning, and project preparation while supporting innovation activities throughout the product development life cycle. • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, constraints, and dependencies to enable successful outcomes. • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture focused on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. More about you Essential • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or another relevant technical discipline. • More than 5 years of experience in engineering or product development, ideally in the medical device industry or another highly regulated environment. • More than 3 years of experience in leading complex and multidisciplinary product development projects from concept to delivery. • Solid expertise in project management, including planning, stakeholder management, risk management, budgeting, and project governance. • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, navigate complexity, and drive informed decision-making in a global environment. • Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders. • Proficiency in English. Desirable • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent). • Experience in the hearing care or medical device sector. • Experience with Planisware, Jira, Confluence, or SAP.
