R&D Technician (m/w/d)

We are seeking an R&D Technician (m/w/d) to reinforce the technical team of the Performance Polymer Division (PPD) at our production site in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland. • Carrying out polymerizations on a laboratory scale and formulating prototypes for adhesives and coatings • Planning and carrying out experiments as well as conducting relevant application and analysis tests in the laboratory according to established procedures • Documentation of test results and maintenance of the laboratory book – ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all generated data • Observation of tests, fault modes and important events during testing • Documentation and transfer of data generated in the laboratory into electronic files • Careful handling and training of test equipment • Compliance with standard operating instructions when operating equipment • Observance of safety regulations when handling materials and operating equipment • Participation in maintaining the cleanliness and order of the laboratory area and equipment as well as their flawless function • A completed vocational training, Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field preferred • Ideally, professional experience in an industrial laboratory • In-depth knowledge of chemistry and/or testing of chemical products • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously • Independent working, including time management • Experience in the synthesis and formulation of acrylic polymers is an advantage, but not mandatory • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities • Knowledge of analytical techniques and methods for material characterization • Ability to work across functions to define, coordinate and implement overall requirements • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
