As part of the Department of Education of the Canton of Zürich, the Office for Youth and Career Counseling (AJB) is responsible for services in the field of child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. Children, adolescents, and families are at the center of our work. We advocate for them every day with great passion and commitment. The Financial Aid area in the AJB examines requests for financial support for individuals and for organizations that advocate for people - from scholarships and loans to maintenance assistance and subsidies for non-profit projects and services. For the specialist staff of the Financial Aid area, we are looking for a forward-looking, independent, and concept-strong personality starting October 1, 2026, or by arrangement. Your tasks ### • Further development and optimization of the Subsidies Coordination Office with a focus on process improvement, portfolio development, and strategy implementation • Financial examination of subsidy applications in close exchange with specialists from other service areas and management staffs • Support of the Financial Aid area in further projects to optimize processes in the Maintenance Assistance and Scholarships departments • Creation of statistics and evaluations Your profile ### • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economic Law, or Public Management • Several years of professional experience, preferably in the public sector • Know-how in the areas of fiduciary services, auditing, or financial controlling • Experience in project management with corresponding further training • Independent, structured way of working and strong conceptual skills • Excellent expressive ability and precise communication • Enjoyment in shaping change processes and perseverance in pursuing goals • Humor and high social competence We offer you ### • A challenging task in a meaningful environment • Good infrastructure as well as social benefits, flexible working models (Flexwork), and cantonal employment conditions • Workplace in a central location just a few minutes' walk from Zürich HB Have we aroused your interest?
