WHO YOU ARE As an apprentice at IKEA Suisse, you do not walk the path alone: you are part of a large community of apprentices. In sales, you are at the heart of the action: you help our customers find what suits them for their interior - with kindness, honesty and professionalism. You like to reach out to others and offer them an IKEA experience that they remember with pleasure. You do not need to know everything already! What matters is your curiosity, your desire to learn and to get involved at IKEA. For us to be a good match, ideally you bring: • You like being in contact with other people and you feel comfortable interacting with them • You are interested in living, furniture and interior design - for example, you like decorating your room or testing your own ideas • You know how to listen and try to understand the needs of others, for example when asked for advice • You like working in a team, but you also know how to be autonomous • You are rather well organized and manage to handle school, homework and leisure • You are comfortable with a computer or a tablet, you have a very good command of French and you have basic knowledge of English Your responsibilities • You learn to create, with your team, a unique IKEA experience, in which our customers feel good and want to return • You practice actively advising customers: you present products, explain layout ideas and make our services (delivery, assembly, etc.) simple and understandable • You discover how your way of advising contributes to customer satisfaction, who leave with new ideas for their interior • You learn to keep your sales area tidy and attractive: filling shelves, highlighting products and ensuring a neat presentation • You collaborate with different departments, for example with interior design, to develop new ideas and solutions We are those who welcome customers in the store, online, in the catalogue, etc. We know the IKEA product range, local markets and customer needs, and we constantly find new ways to establish real connections with our customers in order to maximize sales and profitability. We, all the collaborators around the world, form a diverse team working together towards the continuous global success of the IKEA concept - a concept that helps millions of customers improve their daily lives!
