Senior Backend Developer

Mandatory criteria: 3 to 5 years of experience in backend development, ideally in a technological or SaaS environment Excellent mastery of Python Solid experience with complex data structures and databases (MongoDB, MariaDB, Elasticsearch) Strong knowledge of Linux and practical experience Good understanding of HTTP, REST, web servers, and microservices architectures Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Fluent English (written and oral) Mission: We are recruiting a Senior Backend Developer to design and evolve the server-side systems that power our products. You will be responsible for the development of APIs, backend modules, and database architecture, ensuring high performance and reliability to serve millions of users worldwide. Responsibilities We are looking for an operational engineer, capable of designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems. Backend development Develop and maintain critical backend systems capable of supporting a high volume of requests across our entire product range Design and develop robust APIs and web services that power our frontend applications Develop and maintain backend modules, ensuring clean architecture and maintainable code Build the backend infrastructure for AI-based features, including the integration of LLMs, model APIs, and data pipelines for machine learning workflows Performance and scalability Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in a high-traffic and highly scalable environment Optimize database queries and system architecture to meet growing demand Ensure that development tasks are delivered on time, with a minimum of defects Infrastructure and DevOps Use containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) to deploy and manage services Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and build systems to streamline development workflows Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and intervene in case of production incidents Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver end-to-end features Profile: Ability to critically evaluate and effectively use AI-assisted development tools, while maintaining a deep understanding of the underlying code Familiarity with build systems and CI/CD procedures Ability to write clean, scalable, and well-tested code Excellent problem-solving skills and great attention to detail Additional information: This position is entirely on-site in our Geneva offices.
