The Direction de l'immobilier (DI) has the missions to renovate and build real estate infrastructures, to manage, maintain, service, and enhance the existing real estate portfolio, to be a committed actor in the ecological transition of the real estate heritage, and to cultivate operational excellence. As such, it defines the real estate strategy of the HUG, conducts the implementation of the Schéma directeur hospitalier, and ensures the steering and coordination of major real estate projects. Within this Directorate, the Service Mandataire de Maîtrise d'Œuvre is a service provider whose main mission is to conduct studies and works related to the renovation and transformation of existing buildings and installations in connection with the institution's strategic plan for all HUG sites. Lead Technical and Building Project Engineer HVAC, Sanitary, Medical Gases & Regulation -- 100% As a lead project engineer, you will strengthen the building engineering and technical sector (SITB). The team, composed of about ten people specialized in the different technical areas of the building: Heating-Ventilation-Air Conditioning (HVAC), sanitary, medical gases and electricity, manages approximately 60 projects in parallel. You will thus evolve in an environment that is both demanding and innovative. In this role, you will steer construction or renovation projects, from their design to their completion, while highlighting your expertise in HVAC, Sanitary, Medical Gases and Regulation. Regarding HVAC, you intervene on installations such as air treatment units, the production and distribution of heating, superheated water, steam and chilled water. For sanitary, you work on projects related to the production and distribution of domestic hot water, purified or chilled water. You carry out preliminary studies by analyzing feasibility, identifying needs, estimating costs and defining the schedule. You draft detailed specifications and propose technical solutions that allow for informed decision-making. You ensure rigorous project scoping, thereby guaranteeing precise validation of objectives and controlled progress. You evaluate technical solutions by selecting the most suitable equipment and developing detailed plans. You also prepare the necessary tender documents for the launch of public calls for tenders. You ensure active supervision by ensuring compliance with the laws, standards and regulations in force at each stage. You supervise project execution by coordinating the different stages, following the budget and schedule, and ensuring optimal collaboration with the project teams. You participate in steering committees (COPIL), where you present the progress of the work, propose solutions to potential challenges and contribute to strategic decision-making. In collaboration with your colleagues, you intervene on other cross-functional projects to coordinate actions, resolve issues and propose adapted solutions. You also share your expertise with your peers to support them in the management of their own projects. From a cross-functional perspective, you participate actively in continuous improvement by contributing to the evolution of technical standards and directives. You update documentation, perform technological monitoring in your areas of expertise and propose relevant improvements. Qualifications You possess a degree in technical building engineering at Master's level with a specialization in HVAC and/or Sanitary. Additional training in project management, such as HERMES or Agile, is an asset. You have 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position, ideally acquired within a large company or an institution operating in a complex environment. You perfectly know the construction sector in Switzerland, particularly in Geneva, and you master the applicable standards, laws and regulations. You have demonstrated your skills in project management methodology, notably in scoping, stakeholder management and change management. You master the MS Project tool for the management of your projects. You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and mobilizing leadership, which allow you to collaborate effectively with your interlocutors. Your analytical and synthesis skills allow you to adopt a systemic and rigorous approach.
