The Federal Security Service (FSS), to which it is attached, carries out threat assessments, implements security devices, and protects members of the Federal Assembly, Confederation employees, and persons enjoying protection under public international law. It is responsible for the protection of civil buildings of the federal administration and the diplomatic and consular representations of foreign states in Switzerland. Furthermore, it manages the training and deployment of security guards in aviation. The Deployment, Training, and Planning Division designs work bases and planning for the operational areas of the FSS and manages the Confederation Hearing Centre. It leads the security police training competence center, ensures security in the Parliament Building and during sessions of the Federal Council as well as at the main site of fedpol, and is responsible for the recruitment, training, and deployment of personnel in charge of security in international air traffic. Additional information The service is performed in uniform and according to fixed service plans, with variable service shifts. A perfect perception of colors is necessary for this function and will be examined as part of the recruitment.
