It is the competence center for sports promotion and provides sports facilities, indoor and outdoor pools to the athletically active population as well as to clubs. The organization of compulsory swimming lessons and voluntary school sports is also among the core tasks of the Sportamt. With targeted information, the Sportamt motivates for more movement and advises and supports sports organizations.
