Avionics Electronics Technician

Locarno Air Base | 80-100% What you can contribute • Perform maintenance and repair work on the electrical and electronic systems of PC-6 and PC-7 aircraft and EC-635 and SP/SC helicopters • Guarantee flight readiness, perform intermediate checks and system restorations, ensure aircraft handover/takeover • Act as a specialized instructor to transfer knowledge during technical courses • Participate in various tasks at the air base (e.g., standby in case of accidents, runway inspections, parachute folding, etc.) • Provide support during deployments abroad and work outside of regular service hours if necessary <br /> What makes you unique • Higher vocational training in a technical field or apprenticeship as an electronics technician, electrotechnical technician, or equivalent training; strong interest in avionics and the latest technological advances in this field • Category B driver's license required, category C and E licenses desired • Good computer skills are an advantage • Sense of responsibility, team spirit, customer orientation, autonomy, and precision in work • Good physical condition and psychological stability to undergo survival training (crash simulations in water or on land) • Knowledge of a second official language and proficiency in English <br /> In a few words The command of the Locarno Air Base is responsible for ensuring the continuous operational availability of the propeller aircraft and helicopters of the Swiss Air Force.
