The Parks and Gardens section includes a head gardener, two deputies and about forty permanent employees, including apprentices. It is responsible for the creation, landscaping and maintenance of parks, green spaces, streets and squares, communal flower displays, horticultural production, management of playgrounds, urban furniture and fountains, as well as the maintenance of emblematic sites such as Montorge, Valère and Tourbillon. In order to strengthen its team, the Ville de Sion is advertising the position of Horticulturist-landscaper responsible for the creation sector M/F activity rate 80-100% within the Urbanisme et Mobilité service, Parks and Gardens section. Main missions Within the creation sector, you will actively participate in the realization and development of the outdoor landscaping of the Ville de Sion. You will ensure the organization and monitoring of the construction sites entrusted to you, from their planning to their completion. In this capacity, you will participate in:  the planning, coordination and realization of landscape design projects, playgrounds and public spaces;  the organization of human, material and logistical resources necessary for the proper conduct of the work;  the supervision and support of teams assigned to the construction sites. Furthermore, you:  ensure compliance with deadlines, quality of execution and safety rules;  collaborate with various internal and external partners (architects, engineers and specialized companies);  participate in the training of apprentices and the development of the team's skills;  contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the creation sector. Engagement conditions  CFC as a horticulturist-landscaper or experience deemed equivalent;  proven experience in landscape creation work;  excellent knowledge of plants and good mastery of reading plans;  ability to lead and coordinate a small team;  sense of organization, autonomy and spirit of initiative;  ease in human relations and teamwork;  good computer skills;  category B driving license indispensable; BE license, R1 forklift license or M2 operator license are assets;  good physical condition.
