As a Service Technician Refrigeration Technology & Electronics (100%) in Zürich with assignments throughout Switzerland, you are the decisive technical authority for our fleet of connected refrigerators and coffee machines. You bring your technical signature, establish clean root-cause analyses, and develop our 12-member technician team professionally to the next level. Service Technician Refrigeration Technology & Electronics YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Perform complex fault diagnostics at the component level on our cooling devices and coffee machines as an escalation level. Decide precisely between device malfunction, configuration error, or telemetry problem through sound triage and a deep understanding of refrigeration cycles. Take over the technical documentation (risk assessment, circuit diagrams, conformity according to NEV/EMV) for our own CAREL integration and the POS system. Continuously check new and repaired units for electrical safety and ensure highest compliance throughout the entire fleet. Create structured SOPs and establish a sustainable root-cause and postmortem process to target the reduction of recall costs. Coach our 12-member technician team and close competence gaps through targeted mentoring and a dynamic skills matrix. Organize manufacturer training (e.g., Eversys) and ensure visible, continuous training progress. WHAT YOU BRING A recognized electronics or automation training (e.g., Elektroniker:in EFZ or Automatiker:in EFZ) combined with sound knowledge in refrigeration technology diagnosis (pressures, compressor behavior, typical fault patterns). Several years of professional experience in the fault diagnosis of electromechanical and electronic systems at the component level. Proven practice in writing SOPs and in structured root-cause analysis. Good understanding of electrical product safety (NEV/Low Voltage Directive, EMV basics) or a high willingness to acquire this knowledge with the support of our external safety consultant. Independent, responsible personality with excellent communication skills at all team levels. Great passion for both practical, hands-on work at the workbench and for the precise writing of technical standards. Fluent German skills and very good English. Requirement: Valid driver's license (Category B). Non-smoker – we do not want you to smell of cigarettes, neither at the workplace nor at customer appointments.
