Head of Operations Excellence (m/f/d)

Ref. no.:  CH01361 Employment type:  Full-time Contract type:  Permanent contract WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FOR YOU As Head of Operations Excellence (m/f/d), you are responsible for the strategic and operational further development of the production and process landscape. You drive the transformation towards efficient and standardized manufacturing and ensure the sustainable increase of quality, productivity, and delivery reliability while complying with the highest safety and quality requirements. Specifically, you will undertake the following tasks: • Development and implementation of an Operations Excellence roadmap in line with the corporate strategy • Further development of the manufacturing organization from single to small-series production as well as the establishment of an integrated production system • Identification and realization of optimization potentials along the entire value chain using established Lean methods • Introduction and sustainable anchoring of standardized processes as well as management of the continuous improvement process • Analysis and reduction of lead times, error rates, and rework costs to increase efficiency and quality • Ensuring compliance with normative requirements as well as integration of quality assurance measures into the manufacturing process • Establishment and further development of a KPI-based control and reporting system for measuring success and prioritizing improvement initiatives • Technical and disciplinary leadership of the Operations Excellence team as well as promotion of Lean and process competencies within the organization • Close cross-departmental cooperation with Production, Engineering, Logistics, Purchasing, Quality Management, and Business Excellence WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING • Successfully completed studies in mechanical engineering, production engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field • Several years of professional experience in the manufacturing industry as well as relevant experience in a comparable function • Demonstrable successes in the introduction and further development of Lean and Operations Excellence systems, ideally in single or small-series production • Sound knowledge of Lean Management, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methods • Experience with complex manufacturing processes as well as proficient handling of ERP and KPI systems • Knowledge of relevant quality and industry standards, preferably EN 9100, AQAP 2110, and ISO 9001 WHAT WE OFFER YOU • A dynamic working environment with exciting projects • Flexible working hours (flexitime and trust-based working hours) • Very good social benefits and an above-mandatory pension fund • Employee benefits of a large corporation, employee stock purchase program • Support for demand-oriented further training • Staff restaurant as well as external catering and shopping options nearby • Individual internal as well as external personnel development measures in cooperation with our Rheinmetall-Academy • Workplace just a few minutes' walk from the Zürich-Oerlikon station We need your consent to load the YouTube service! ### In order to play YouTube videos, a connection to YouTube must be established.
