University Clinic for Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy 50 100 from 1 October 2026 or by agreement We offer with the University Clinic for Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy the psychiatric basic care and specialized treatment programs for adults in the Bern area. At our clinic, people are at the center. As an occupational therapist, you will accompany people with mental illnesses on their way back to a self-determined everyday life and make a significant contribution to promoting their quality of life, ability to act and independence. You will work in a committed, interprofessional team and actively help shape the further development of occupational therapy. Additionally, there is the possibility to perspectively help shape the area as team leadership and actively drive its further development. Your tasks • You are responsible for the occupational therapy care of patients on the general acute psychiatric and psychotherapeutic wards as well as in the day-care and outpatient area • You conduct individual and group therapies, create occupational therapy assessments, formulate therapy goals and plan as well as evaluate evidence-based interventions • You accompany people with mental illnesses in coping with everyday life and strengthen their independence in practical life matters • You work interdisciplinary and maintain regular exchange with nursing, medical service, therapists and other departments • You engage in organizational, administrative and conceptual tasks - from material procurement to the further development of occupational therapy Your profile • You have a completed education in occupational therapy FH or HF or an equivalent qualification with SRK recognition • Preferably, you already have experience in the psychiatric or sociotherapeutic environment • Initial leadership experience or the willingness to take on responsibility and build leadership skills are advantageous • You are flexible, open and communicative and enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team • You bring a high level of social competence, independence and resilience • You are enthusiastic about working with patients with different disease patterns • You take over, if interested, the supervision of interns in the field The UPZ The University Psychiatric Center Bern (UPZ) is, as a university clinic, the leading center of excellence for psychiatry and psychotherapy in the capital region.
