The SONNENBERG competence center is a special education service organization. Children, adolescents and adults with visual impairment, blindness, blindness and/or visual impairment with multiple impairments, speech impairment and severe behavioral abnormalities are accompanied and taught. The goal is to enable our clients to live a self-determined and independent life as well as to achieve the greatest possible development of potential. An interdisciplinary team of 300 employees is committed to the education and support of the assigned clients. The Behavior and Language offer is a separate special school offer for students with behavioral and speech impairments with day school, partial boarding and weekly boarding. Sozialpädagoge*in / FaBe HF/FH Internat (80%) ## Your tasks ## As a social pedagogue, you have a very central role at SONNENBERG in the accompaniment and promotion of our students. On a residential group with a maximum of 12 boys (12-16 years old) you are responsible for the accompaniment and promotion of the adolescents outside of teaching hours and the (further) development of the socio-emotional competencies of the adolescents. For this all-encompassing promotion, you are in exchange with the adolescents and legal guardians, involved specialists and authorities. For the promotion planning, you work closely with the interdisciplinary boarding and teaching team. Main tasks • Planning, design, implementation and evaluation of socio-pedagogical promotion, care and development processes in everyday life • Systematic recording, analysis and assessment of development, behavior and participation situations as a basis for targeted promotion measures • Implementation of a resource- and development-oriented accompaniment of the clients in everyday residential life • Promotion of personal, social and everyday practical competencies • Design of a sustainable professional relationship as well as a conducive and appreciative everyday culture • Professional participation in assessment meetings, promotion planning as well as transitions within and outside the institution • Reflection and further development of your own socio-pedagogical actions on the basis of feedback, evaluations and professional standards The workload is composed such that you are on site five days a week during the school weeks, but have no duty during the holidays. Furthermore, an on-call service (night duty) per week is included. Your profile ## • You have completed training in social pedagogy or specialist care (HF/FH). • Ideally, you have already completed relevant and recognized additional training for professional specialization in the fields of the behavioral area. • Professional experience in a boarding school or school-related context is required. • Furthermore, professional experience in a special education or residential context is an advantage.
