For the start of apprenticeship in 2027, we offer an apprenticeship position as Apparatus Glassblower EFZ Your tasks as an apparatus glassblower: In the three-year apprenticeship to become an Apparatus Glassblower EFZ, you will be trained to be a manual apparatus glassblower. As an Apparatus Glassblower EFZ, you will learn during the three-year apprenticeship how to manufacture glass apparatuses for the chemical industry as well as how to process special glasses for complex electrochemical and optical sensors. These sensors are used worldwide in research, biotechnology, medicine, and chemistry. You work according to technical drawings and connect glass with materials such as metal or ceramics. In doing so, you shape and process glass by hand, on the lathe, at the bench burner, and with other tools. In the first year of apprenticeship, you acquire the basic skills that you will apply daily throughout the remainder of your training.
