It is responsible for national and international coordination in various fields of infringement and establishes analyses on crime phenomena as well as police reports. The FJP is also the national center of expertise for combating digital crime. The Economic Crime Division of the FJP conducts police investigations according to the code of criminal procedure as well as instructional procedures under the direction of the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (FPPO).
