Specialist IV-Pension (80 - 100 %) SVA BL is the competence center for social insurance in the Canton of Basel-Landschaft. As an independent public-law company, it fulfills a statutory mandate and contributes to the social security of the population and the economy of the canton. For the IV-Benefits department, we are looking for, effective immediately or by arrangement, a/an Specialist IV-Pension (80 - 100 %) What you will achieve You examine pension applications, consolidate the medical, legal, and economic decision-making bases, and initiate the necessary investigations. You clarify open questions in interdisciplinary exchange with the involved internal specialist teams and develop a well-founded overall assessment. You determine the IV-degree and justify it in a comprehensible manner. You examine the entitlement to assistance compensation and deal regularly with insured persons, legal representatives, custodians, doctors, insurance companies, and other agencies. You draft legally sound and comprehensible benefit decisions and process them up to the appealable decree. You assess the individual situation of the insured persons holistically and examine whether further investigation or action possibilities arise from this. You have a commercial education or a background in the healthcare sector. Further training or experience in social or private insurance, for example as a social insurance specialist with a federal diploma, is an advantage – or you are motivated to obtain this qualification. What you bring You are a team player, think proactively, and enjoy working your way into complex medical and legal issues. You can clearly summarize complex facts in the German language and make well-founded decisions even in demanding situations. Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
