It is responsible for legislative monitoring and issues related to bilingualism. In addition, it supports the Delegation of the Executive Council for Jurassian affairs. It also manages the cantonal central purchasing office for supplies and printed matter and is responsible for the planning of tasks and resources within the State Chancellery as well as the operation of the Government House. The State Chancellery is a versatile service provider at the interface between politics, administration and the public. As the staff of the Executive Council, it ensures liaison with the Grand Council. In this capacity, it plans, supports and coordinates the activities of these authorities and provides numerous services to the administration and the population.
